Default Navionics chip for Simrad?

Hello guys anyone have actual time on the platinum or platinum plus for simrad evo 2. Most of my fishing is offshore South Florida and the Bahamas. From what I've read the platinum plus offers aerial satellite shots which I don't really need but I do want detailed depth contours offshore. Also open to other options CMap etc. The built in simrad charts are pretty disappointing coming from Garmin.

I have an evo 2 and the navionics chip. The bathy lines are very detailed. They are the way to go. I used to have a Ray machine and used the old fish and chips card which was great. I then had a Garmin with their blue charts which I did not care for due to lack of detail. Insight, which comes on your machine has very little bottom detail. The navionics card is money well spent, in my opinion

Platinum+ is well worth the cost to upgrade over insight

Is there much difference between the platinum and platinum plus other than the satellite photos?

Could you please quote me for a chip that will work in my GO7? Looking for Florida maps (Crystal River to the keys). Not sure which version I want, if the only difference is satellite images, I don't need those. I actually found this thread searching for Navionics deals for black friday

There is no platinum(non+). The two lines are Navionics+ and Navionics Platinum+. Navionics+ regions is cheaper with a large coverage area and comes with the SonarCharts HD bathymetrics. You have to download(free) the sonarcharts.

Platinum+ is smaller coverage area but adds 3D views, 2D shading underwater, satellite overlay, aerial photography for points of interest along the water. SonarChart is the same as Navionics+ but is pre-loaded.

C-MAP offers similar features on the MAX-N and MAX-N+ lines. MAX-N+ offers dynamic raster charts as well which Navionics does not do.

I would go with Navionics+ South Region card. This will cover everything you need. Also, you'll be able to record your own sonar charts which allows you to update the contour detail in the areas you regularly fish.
