Default What electronics to buy?? So many choices

My dad and I recently purchased a 34' fountain that we r completely redoing. With the electronics rebuild. The boat will be fished offshore of nc bottom fishing and trolling 100'-1500' water.
1. Things that I want are two 10" or 12" screens.
2. A very good transducer or 2
3. I like the ability to run digital switches on the new units
4. I don't have to have touch screen
5. I have to run the engine gauges on the units( twin Yamaha 350's)
6. No radar

What do you guys reccomend for the best bang for your buck with this list of "wants" considered. I thought about 2-8212's or 2-1022's. I can't tell if the 1022's need a Gsd module.

THT post was having a huge sale on the Garmin 8212 last week. Search it. buying two would save you over 5k I think. Better hurry though Good luck. The 8212s will do everything you need. I loved mine. I would consider radar thought traveling off shore like that....

You should look to the 1042/1242 if you are wanting a button unit. For touch screen go with the Garmin 7600 units such as the 7610xsv or 7612xsv. Built in GPS, built in wifi, built in dual band sounder as well as down Vu and Side vu
