Default Garmin 547xs and Garmin EchoMap Chirp 74DV

I'm stuck between using a 5"-7" screen, for limited space. Mainly want to use it for a GPS.

Garmin 547xs has a Updates Position & Heading Up To 10 Times Per Second
-10 Times Faster than 1 HZ GPS

And the echomap 74dv has a. Internal 5 Hz GPS updates position and heading 5 times per second

I like garmin, but open to options. I use to have a Garmin 840xs, so i'm sure i will get use to another garmin, that is similiar. But smaller unforunately

Which would i be better suitable, i just see the size difference 2" more?

Wont be using the transducer option. Will have a stand alone fish finder.

Thanks for your feedback!

In practice, you will never be able to detect any difference between 5hz and 10hz.

But - size matters. Go big if budget allows
