Default New Batteries for my Skipjack24

I've recently inherited a Skipjack24 with a Volvo Penta engine. I need to get 4 new batteries for it and I was looking for recommendations. Currently, I have 4 identical batteries:

Trojan Deep Cycle SC200
115 Amp Hour Capacity
6.5 hours run time at 15A
760 marine cranking amps

Thanks in advance.

Usually two batteries would be sufficient for day use. I would recommend two Group 27s. You can use the 1-2-All battery switch and manually move it from time to time, or use two separate switches. One would be for the engine battery and the other for house devices. It is best to keep the electronics separated from the engine battery, as voltage spike cause problems.

If you need to run electronics all day long with the motor not running, 4 batteries may be necessary. Or use a single 8D plus a 24 or 27 starting battery. Use a quality battery combiner to keep battery banks charged without having to work the battery switch repeatedly during the day.
