Default Need Help, NSS7 not seeing AC12 Autopilot Computer

I need some help, I installed the Simrad AC12 autopilot computer and it is not being seen on my NSS7 unit. I have ran the power, I have correct polarity, ran the NEMA cable and changed the configuration several times. My compass is showing up on network just not computer. Does it require a remote power connection similar to other electronics? Any suggestions ?

Update, I spoke to Simrad and trouble shot the unit, looks like it needs to be returned.

Yes, the autopilot computer needs a separate power in addition to SimNet (NMEA 2000).

I ran power and have the green light showing polarity is correct, fuse is put in place.

And the SimNet wires are correctly connected to AC12?

Had to take boat to get service and just got back, I received the new unit and still same issue, not being seen on Network, says no autopilot computer found.

Just one month ago I installed AC12 autopilot (together with RC42 compass) on my boat and had exactly this problem. My NSS8 could see RC42, but not AC12. Eventually I found what was wrong: I incorrectly understood a label that Simrad put on AC12.

I briefly read this label and stupidly understood that label says that if light is green this means that fuse is in correct position; otherwise fuse has to be put in different position. Since light was green I did nothing.

Actually label tells that once light is green this means that polarity is correct, and now you should put fuse in correct on position. After I put this fuse in on position I was able to see AC12 in list of NMEA200 network devices. However I still did not have autopilot option in "Set" menu. I had to execute "reset" on my NSS8 to see it there.

That is just my experience. Since you said that "fuse is put in place" you seems to avoid this mistake.
