Default Audio help/opinions w/fusion head

I have at this point a fusion 700i and a pair of jlaudio mx650;s on my 05 edgewater.Going to go ahead and get another pair of speakers either another mx650's or mx770's. Problem don't know which at this point. My present mx650's are located to the side of the helm under the gunnels on either side. I also have some access hatches just next to the forward seating of the boat.Thinking second set would go here. Was hoping anyone familiar with the edgewater would offer location for the second set of speakers. Also undecided in ref to an amp which I think I will need. would the mx770's be better compared to another set of mx650's ? need to decide either mx650 or mx770's need help there as well.thanks

You will definitely get a upgraded, more full-range sound from the 770's vs. another set of 650's. That is the way I would go with speakers. I have heard some 770's run off a fusion head unit and they sounded good, though not amazing. So, I wouldn't say an amp is necessary, but I would suggest one if your budget allows. It doesn't need to be a big amp, a JL MHX280/4 would do well or a Wet Sounds HTX-4 if you can swing it (I like the HTX-4 better than the JL M400/4).
