Default Clarion CMD5 Replacement???

Hi Everyone,

My Boat (2004 AquaSport 215 DC) came with a CMD5 that is working fine except for two missing buttons and that I feel it's a little bit outdated, I have a 4 speakers set up and would like to have USB input, what would you guys recommend as a upgrade without braking braking the bank and taking into consideration that I already have a cutout for a double din unit?

Thank in advance!

I'm not sure there are any double DIN radios on the market anymore. Many units have larger faceplates despite their single DIN cutouts. You may have to get some starboard, cover your old hole, and make a new one.

Reach out to brian@ international marine. The fusion ra 70 would be a great choice and they could make you a trim plate to fit.

I don't think are any double din units still on the market. A lot of newer radios have larger faceplates but still a single DIN cutout. You might be forced to cover you old hole and cut a new one.

I believe the new Clarion M606 will fit that opening.

I also like what DockHoliday is suggesting the Fusion RA70 is a good unit. It has blinded glass like your iPhone and built in bluetooth. The price point is also good. We can do an adaptor for you easily.

I believe the CMD7 and CMD8 are direct fit replacements. I removed a CMD6 and put in a CMD8 in my boat... slid straight in!

CMD6 and CMD8 have oversized faceplates but are still single DIN cutouts
