Default Transducer Installation Questions

I want to install an Airmar B75, and I was watching the BOE Marine video here:

http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-...thru-hull.html

And it prompted a couple of questions:

1. Is it easier to pull the masking tape off the transducer before or after the 4200 cures?

2. I presume you tighten the nut down before the 4200 cures (and before you pull the tape too)?

It will be easier to pull it before it cures. The thought is that tightening after cure can brake the seal in some occasions if the ducer is allowed to move at all

Pull the tape off as soon as you tighten the ducer. Before pulling tape off face of ducer wipe the excess sealant away. Then pull tape off face.

Tighten down the nut before the 4200 cures.
