Default Garmin GNX 20 questions

So I'm redoing my dash this winter and I'm ditching the always wrong gas gauge. Since I have the NMEA 2000 network in place my thought is to install a fuel flow sensor to monitor my use and level. Honestly I don't even need it at this point as I have paid very close attention this year but still will be nice. So on to my question. I'm thinking of using a GNX 20 to display the fuel info. I have read you can have it cycle through whatever info you want so I'm thinking water temp, fuel use, and some others I probably can't think of.

Does my plan hold water? Is there a better option?

Unfortunately, there are no fuel features in the GNX. It is mainly for the sailing market.

The GMI20 when paired with the GFS10 will give you a low fuel alarm and additional features, fast fwd to 2:50.

Anything is possible. You could have a pocket created and welded into the bottom of the boat that the pm111 would mount into.

I think that post was made in the wrong thread & most likely belongs here instead.
