Default New Build Amp Question

If one were building a system with a pair of JL 8.8s up front in a center console, a pair of JL 7.7s mid ship and another pair of JL 7.7s on the transom......what JL amp would you use to power this system? I believe the 8.8s need 125W and the 7.7s need 100W? Thanks

I know you said jl but the wetsounds sd6 would be the best choice. Really drive those speakers to their fullest. A little headroom is always a plus.
If not willing to mix m600 or mhd600 for more power. But honesty the sd6 is a better beast.

I'm with Doc on this. I think your best choice is a Wet Sounds amp. If the SD6 is too pricey for you, the Syn-DX6 will work great as well with the 7.7's hooked up to ch1-4 and the 8.8's on ch5-6.

If you really want to stick with JL amps; I would run and MHD 600/4 on the 7.7's and an M400/4 bridged on the 8.8's.

thanks for the responses. i will look into the Wet Sounds as it seems they have 6 channel amps to suit this need better than the JL lineup. I would really like to just have 1 amp

Another vote for the SD6. The SD series of amps are the best amps available right now.

Yes. Run the 7.7's on channels 1-4 and the 8.8's on channels 5&6. Tons of clean power for all 6 speakers.
