Default Airmar B150 or B75?

I just recently got a new Lowrance HDS-9 Gen 3 to replace a Gen 2 unit (long story here). I have an Airmar P66 on my boat, but I'd like to replace it with a CHIRP through-hull transducer.

I fish in the Gulf of Mexico (Destin, FL), usually 75' - 140' of water, but occasionally to 250'. Is a B75 going to offer better performance than a B150 at these relatively shallow depths (or at least enough to justify the extra cost)?

I have 2 simrad nss 8's with the sonar hub and b150 transducer. I fish in the CHESAPEAKE bay in usually under 100 foot of water. My set up shows decent results and feel that is adequate. I have no experience with the b75 but suspect it is much more sensitive and would show better results. If money is tight the b150 would work for you but if it were me I would spend the extra money and get the b75.

Just bought the b75m, fish out of Carrabelle. Will let you know how it works. HDS9 gen 3. Gil made the recommendation.
