Default Dash Re-Design

I want to re-Build my dash to accommodate a flush mounted HSD-7. You will see below that due to to having twin, older outboards my dash is quite packed.

The VHF is flush mounted on a 6" vertical panel out of shot above the dash (you can see the cord hanging down in the photo). This was a stupid decision.

I would like some feed back on my ideas for re-configuration: -

Replace VHF with a black box unit located forward from the other electrics and mount the hand piece/control on the port side of the helm.

I'll make a surround for the HDS-7 that attaches to the dash and the VHF panel to position the screen at best viewing angle. I'll fit the Tacho's either side of this on the VHF Panel.

Volts and Hours to the vertical surfaces either side of steering wheel base.

DC switch panels below them.

Trims to bottom centre of new dash. Bilge panels either side of them.

Lose the speedo
