Default Is a Fusion RA50/55 enough to drive

I just bought a used Wet Sounds Stealth 6 Core without the built in amplifier. I am only going to have this one speaker on the boat. Is a Fusion RA50 enough to drive it? Mind you this inside a pilothouse with a full cabin and full bulkhead. We won't providing the entertainment for the neighborhood.

Nope. Wet Sounds syas 75w RMS minimum, the RA50 outputs closer to 20w RMS.

It's actually around 12.
You need a nice small amp.

Well, if you are simply asking: "If I hook it up, will sound come out?" Yes.

I don't think you will be happy with it though. I would suggest putting at least a small 50w RMS amp on it.

RMS stands for root mean square in audio terms. It's not the minimum, rather the average over an extended about of time.

So did I make a mistake buying the non-amplified version? It seems like the amps that meet those specifications are 1/2 the size of the bar or bigger. Is the ultimate series really driving the speaker fully?

Sell and buy the ultimate or add an amp? Will an external amp get me more volume?

Maybe buy a second Core and use what seems to be easier to find 4 channel amp. I could put the second on the rear deck.

From an ease of installation it would be best to use the Ultra version. On the core unit an amp will get you additional volume and better performance/sound

Ha, I haven't even received it yet. I am having a bit of buyer's remorse (or questions)
