Default wireless

If I have the new vesselview wireless app and and the module, do I still need Lowrance Gofree to get wireless to my lowrance and simrad products. How many wifi and bluetooth devices can operate simultaneously? It would seem once you had one bluetooth module, it would speak to all the others. Same with wifi.

What am I missing?

If you want to get wireless data from a Lowrance or Simrad product, it has to come from the product itself or through the GoFree-module or other WIFI-module that gets the data you want to have relayed from the Simrad/ Lowrance. For mirroring/ controll, that means a unit connected to the Gofree Module through ethernet, or with bildt-in WIFI.
You can have several wireless networks on your boat (I have three).

A WIFI- or Bluetooth-module can offcourse only relay data given to it. So the question really is what data you want to be relayed. Bluetooth does not support heavy data-loads like screen-mirroring, so that has to be WIFI, and since mirroring comes through ethernet (not NMEA) a module based on NMEA will never be able to mirror a screen. But a module getting data through ethernet can realy NMEA-data as long as they are present in the ethernet-feed to the module.
