Default Insight or Navionics for charts for Simrad NSS Evo2

I have a Simrad NSS Evo2 and 3D structure scan with the default maps (Insight US 8.0 and Navionics 01.02.01) that came with the unit. What would you recommend for upgraded maps. Will be using primarily in the gulf of mexico near Florida up to 20 miles offshore and also the Florida Keys.

Navionics Platinum + is the best option. Navionics Plus is also a great alternative.

If you run around Florida and particularly the keys and are inshore a lot this is far superior to Navionics overall.
There are multiple videos for this posted and several hours of viewing with on screen comparisons to Navionics if you are interested.
They have a website and facebook page too,,,

The FMT charts look very nice but the website mentions that you need to draft 13.5 inches or less to make the most of them. I will check my draft but if it is more than this would there still be value in the FMT tracks. Also, do they have information further off shore as in up to 15 miles?

I just bought an FMT chip and love what it brings so far. I'm in a skiff, but the chip has given me the confidence to run Flamingo and the Keys by myself while learning the area. I don't know how much offshore use you'll have looking at the tracks, but if you are using anything but the main channels in the keys you will benefit from it. If you decide you want a navionics chip IM me, I will be selling both my navionics chips (both brand new), one is a plus that came with my new Simrad and the other is the platinum plus, both for South Florida. The FMT chip is that good for what my boat can do and what I will use it for.

Here are some pics of what to expect with navionics:

Also check out their WebApp where you can look at all their maps for the areas you fish:

Thanks. I'll check it out. The majority of my boating will be around the Sarasota and St Petersburg area so will see what it has for that area as well.

FMT is the most accurate and up to date satellite imagery available to FL boaters. I own a Navionics Platinum chip and it's satellite imagery is outdated junk compared to the FMT
