Default 7612xsv wont recognise GMR 18xHD after latest update

The error message in NMEA 2000 device list is Unknown Dome under Radar. Radar seems to display and work normally.
I called Garmin and they were unaware as seems is increasingly more a common answer from their tech support staff.

Any Ideas?
Are there any features that I am loosing without this recognition?
Thank you,
Will

Is the radar cable plugged in?

That makes little sense as the GMR 18xHD is not a NMEA2000 device. ?? It is a Garmin Marine Network Device !!

So it appears the radar is working fine, and should show up in the Marine Network list? If true you have some other NMEA2000 device with a problem.

My mistake, Yes it's a Garmine Network Device. (It was late!)Yes it is connected. It works fine so as I can tell. It showed up as GMR18xHD prior to the update.
