Default Matsutec AIS + Ray Multiplexer + Ray NMEA0183

I am trying to connect a Matsutec HA-102 AIS transponder to my Raymarine E120 Classic via a Raymarine E55059 Multiplexer. I must admit that I am really on thin ice, this is a completely unknown area for me, and am very grateful for some qualified advise.
My first challenge is making the right choices when connecting the AIS to the multiplexer. Looking at the picture, how do you guys think I have done so far?
Next is the connections between the multiplexer and the multiplexer and the NMEA0185 input, any suggestions?

what else are you connecting? you don't need the muliplexer if the AIS is the only nmea 183 item.

you only need the green and brown from the ais

is that multiplexer rated for 38,400 baud?

Connect it directly like smac999 is recommending . E120 green to to AIS green and E120 white to AIS brown.
The E120 has to be set to 38400 baud, .You have to switch the AIS Overlay to ON. please refer operation manual how to do
Please also check software revision of the E-120, latest available is V. 5.96.
http://forum.raymarine.com/ is a very good knowlegde pool.

Thanks, I am afraid the input for NMEA0183 on the Ray are already occupied. I have not identified yet what is connected, but I do have several options like the autopilot, radar or the depth sounder. So I guess I will be needing the multiplexer.
My strategy so far is trying getting the AIS and the Multiplexer right and testing them before cutting and opening the existing connection.
Both the multiplexer and the AIS are 38400 baud. :-)
