Default Garmin Bluechart Mobile IOS Bouy

Either Garmin removed some functionality from Bluechart Mobile or I am going crazy. ;? I boat primarily in the great lakes and love using NOAA Bouy to get offshore weather. The Garmin Bluechart mobile app was an easy way to get real-time updates on waves and water temp.

I went into the app last week and the bouy was not there. I thought perhaps I turned off viewing the bouy but if I did I can't figure out how to turn it back on ... Any ideas?

I am using an iPhone 6s running IOS 9.3.2 (13F69) and Garmin Bluechart Mobile 2.1.3.95

Attached is a picture of the screen with my own waypoint created for the Bouy. (Yes - I created the waypoint where the Bouy should be and called it Bouy!)

Here is the bouy I should be seeing ...

I forwarded this to Support, and they replicated what you observed. But, to view the buoy:

Swipe from left to right to access weather options
Select “Observed”
Ensure “Weather Stations” is check marked
Select Temperatures, wave height, etc.. - Conditions”
You should now see the buoy displaying the data you selected to display
Select the buoy on the chart then select from the rotary menu
Buoy data then displayed

Thanks for the help Todd. I tried adding in the Chart Contents - Weather - Observed - Wave Height and did not see the bouy appear. Here is a quick video of what I tried. Any recommendations? Should I be logging this as a case / bug on the garmin support site?

I also noticed that bouy 45002 does show up but will not show any of the weather / data from the bouy. I do have the wave height turned on for these pictures. So at least Bluechart mobile is showing the bouy ... Even though you can't see the data any more. (or perhaps you can see the data but how you see the data has changed) Here is the bouy in the pictures.

Have you tried seeing the data using a different program? Maybe the NOAA site or that bouy is down? Happens sometimes.

Try logging out of your garmin acct (within the app) and then logging back in.

Default Nope - Just Garmin

The bouy app shows both Bouys and their data. I'll keep using the dedicated bouy app. Just wish Garmin would not be regressing their app. I do like some of the new features but losing features really is frustrating.

Did you try logging out and back in? This happens to me from time to time and doing that always fixes the issue.

And just so you know...the app didn't lose the functionality...I can still see buoys...including 'yours' just fine...

Chainsaw was right ... Logging out and logging back in solved the problem. Buoys are back. You are a genius. Would never have connected logging into garmin with seeing buoy data. Thanks!

The stand alone app I use as well is www.noaaBuoyData.com (called BouyData on App Store)
