mounting a 2kw transducer

Default mounting a 2kw transducer

Hi there.i have a 2 kw transducer I need to mount on my alloy boat. Don't have room to thru hull mount it, would anyone have an ideas/pictures on how to transom mount a 2kw transducer any help appreciated !

Make and model of transducer will help. Also how thick is your hull. If thick enough you may be able to shoot thru.
Photo's would help too.

Hi. It's a furuno 38Bl-9hr. (2kw). Hull thickness is 5mm.

Your best option is to fabricate a transom bracket that the transducer can be clamped in.
Although Aluminum hulls cannot accommodate shoot through, if over 5 mills thick it will work but the loss of performance my not be acceptable. However that's Airmar's opinion not Furuno.

Thanks mate. Yeh I am keen to fabricate a transom bracket. Was hoping to maybe get a picture of 1 someone has made on this forum to get me on the right track!
