Default Erratic depth and no fish marks. HDS 9, Gen 2

Hi All.....dry stack boat with clean, stock TD. I was out for the first time in several months yesterday. Just riding around in 10'-30' of saltwater, going both slow and fast. I had the range on both auto and 40'. About 80% of the time there was no depth registering, and not a single fish mark the whole time. There are tons of fish in this waterway.

What could be causing this?

Has transducer been knocked so that it is now not set at the correct angle? Check that it is tight because if loose it can be moved upwards by water oressure and wont get a good picture if it is moving around. It will perform like you described if either of these things are happening.

Yes as the Moonlighter is onto I would like to see a picture of the transducer after you haul the boat

The boat was put back in the stack shortly after, so I took a look at the ducers (Sidescan and skimmer). They were level and even with the bottom of the hull, on either side of the V. Looked normal. I didn't see any obvious explanation.

I have been doing a lot of wiring behind the helm for other things. I'll check the connections of the back of the HDS. Maybe they got tweaked.
