Help with Lenco Autoglide

Default Help with Lenco Autoglide

We are having issues with trim tabs. Had Lenco test the control box which has no issue. We are looking for a tech familiar with these to troubleshoot and solve issue. Boat is located in New Smyrna Beach Fl. We have checked voltage to the control box and is 12.5 VDC nominal from house bank with engines off and 14.6 when they are running. The tabs stopped working suddenly last time we used boat. Thank you

I use auto glide in my pursuit. I have been less than happy with its performance. It over corrects badly in roll axis with people on board. The logic seems reluctant to reduce trim to achieve a level ride, I've considered going back to straight manual since I run it in that mode near all the time. I would suggest bypassing auto glide, install the old module and control head and see if tabs work... good luck!

So based on airbusdriver comment i again called Lenco. This time i got to speak to an engineer for 30 minutes or so. Based on what I described and how the AutoGlide failed he thinks he knows issue and is sending the necessary parts today. He also offered his cell number that I can call Saturday if need be for further trouble shooting. This is what I call above and beyond excellent Customer Service.

So how'd it work out for you? I've been looking at this system but not 100% sure about it yet.

Ok, first a special shout out to the Lenco folks and Everglade folks, As a reminder my tabs stopped working about a month ago. Lenco without hassle supplied every replacement component and harness in the system without any hassle and with professionalism. In the end it was not a Lenco issue. We would measure 12.65 volts at Tab Control Box (Autoglide) when it was off. However, after much digging last evening by an Everglades Tech he found 8.65 volts at the Control box when it was on. Turns out we had a bad power feed to the system. Was not expect on 18 month old boat. Especially as we read 12.6 volts with no load and 12.6 volts on Electronics DC buss under light load. End result was new wires to power the Lenco System all is good again. Thanks to Keith at Everglades and Joe at Lenco. They stuck with it and solved this exacerbating issue. Bottom line is i really missed system as when it worked it really made more a both more economical and better ride on the boat.

Wow excellent! Sounds like a freak issue, but solved now.
