Default B175h-w th

After installing (of course) I noticed that Lowrance says this transducer is good for boats up to 25'. What the heck is that? What difference does the boats length make (within limits)???
Will the operation on my 34' boat be marginal?

Have one in my 34 pursuit and it doesn't work well at speed. Large heavy boats have a layer of turbulence along the bottom. Should have different ducer with a fairing.
