Default Garmin 7612xsv Boat Heading off by 30degrees

Hey guys, I am not sure if this question has been addressed before, if so sorry for the repetitive post.
I have twin Garmin 7612xsv units installed on my boat. I also have Garmin autopilot, radar, etc. All units are linked together.
My autopilot heading seems to be consistent with my dash compass.
However, my 7612's has my boat heading off by like 25-30 degrees. SO when I follow my boat icon on a map on the screen, the boat is pretty much always moving sideways. It causes interference with my autopilot while on navigation.
Any pointers on who I can fix this? Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem ever since I updated the software a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, the Autopilot heading seems to be correct...but my plotter shows the boat moving sideways while underway and the heading shown on the 7612 is way off. Since I am aware of it, I can deal with it, but there has to be some adjustment that can be done to fix this. It makes the autopilot do weird things while navigating to a waypoint.

Have any of you called customer support?

There was a long discussion on this a month or so ago. I seem to remember something (compass or heading sensor?) needing to be re-calibrated or maybe going through the dealer setup again?

IIRC, most folks got it sorted out after doing what ever it was.

Sorry, I dont have that problem so I didnt pay that much attention.

How is your plotter connected to your ap? N2k? The heading value should be identical if they are. (Assuming units are same. Mag vs true).

Are you sure you are looking at heading or cog? Make sure you have a data box on the plotter that says heading. Not cog.
