Default Can hardly see screen

I just started using my new Garmin Echomap Chirp 73sv and when I am wearing my Oakley sunglasses I can hardly make out the images on the sonar screen, without them everything shows up great. Does anyone else have this problem and if so could anyone recommend some sunglasses that will work. I could see my old fish finder screen fine with these same sunglasses.

I have the same problem with most electronics. If they have a polarized screen and you're wearing polarized sun glasses, they cancel out and the image starts to disappear. I've considered getting a pair of non-polarized sun glasses for this reason.......unless there's a better option.

When you tilt your head side to side, does the image appear? All lcd screens are polarized. If you get a screen and glasses that are polarized on the same plane they cancel each other out and you get a blank(or super dim) screen. You can see this effect with your phone if it has an lcd screen.
The solution is to get polarized glasses that are compatible with your electronics.

I have a 1020xs and Oakleys, Don't recall having a problem, but seems like on my buddy's boat he has a 740s which I have problems with.
