Default Can Garmin ever get the updates right?

I have a 7610xsv and a 840xs. The 840xs does fine with the updates and always reconizes the ducer. My 7610 has a mind of its own. Sometimes it will pick up side scan when I leave the dock and sometimes it wont. But sometimes when I get where I'm going to and sit for a few hours with the unit off it will show SS when I power up again. Just weird. I have a TM 265LH that it reconizes everytime. Both are 12 pin ducers.

Well today I did the update and the TM 265 shows up fine. The GT 50 says its not a supported transducer.

If you are using a Y cable, it could be the Y. They had a batch of bad ones.

Yes - be sure you use the screw caps to keep the cables in tight.

No Y cable. I plug the 265 in comes right up. I plug the GT50 in and it doesn't recognize the ducer.

Does the Y cable allow you to use both 12 pin ducers with one connection to the unit?

The Y cable is for two sidevu transducers, i think.

Do you swap transducers with your equipment on?
If so, did you try to swap with the equipment off?

Sounds to me like your GT50 or the 7610 is bad.

Have you talked to customer service yet?

Updates have worked fine with mine. Over 50 hours use on the last one.

Hook the transducers up one at a time to the 7610. That will tell you if they're working.
