Default (help) Mapping card question..

I have not bought a mapping chip in a while was shocked at prices ($350)
with all the new advances and the inf they put on them now I guess I can understand.

My question is, Can I try the chip in my Garmin 94sv, and when I get my other boat back move it to my Simrad go7, or do manufacturer's somehow, "tie" them to the first machine its put into?

( Can card be moved from one fishfinder to other fishfinders?)

The Garmin will only accept Garmin Cartography. The Simrad accepts a number of charts but not Garmin.

if the card is compatible with both devices yes

I swap my Navionics + (3XG) bettwen Raymarine Dragonfly 7 pro and C125 , but the Navionics Platinum + (MSD909P-2) for example is only compatible with the C125

cheers
