Default SIMNET vs NMEA2000 Connector

I have an NSS8, NSS7evo, and AP24. They are all connected via SIMNET.

I want to add another NSS7 on the bridge along with an RS35. My SIMNET hub in down below. Do I have to run separate simnet cables? Or can I run 1 SIMNET/NMEA2k cable up to the bridge to a "T" adapter and use standard NMEA cables to connect the NSS and radio?

you need to extend the back bone including the end terminator to that location and then connect both up there with shorter drops. you would need 2 N2K tees up top. a new N2K terminator (since your's are simnet), 2 nk2 drop cables, and a simnet to N2k Cable which they won't make that long. I would get a long simnet cable, cut end off, run to bridge, then add maretron N2K field end up top. you'll have to get the right ends of the field end and terminator so everything matches up. or a long N2K cable, and connect to short simnet to N2K adapter I guess.

Thank you, so pretty much what I was thinking.

Are the cables and tees pretty much universal on the NMEA2k side? Or do I need to stick with Navico?
