Default Refrigator Wiring

Getting ready to replace the fridge in our boat. What type of wiring connector is good to use on the 12v wiring supply. The original connection from the factory looks like the paddle style, but with some solder added to it.

Need to know what type and size of fridge. Is it 3 way powered 12vdc /120acv with gas or compressor type? Although you specify 12 volts, this is also used for control of other functions.
Absorption will have a 12 volt element drawing around 27 Amps for a 2 door fridge, but is controlled via a relay.
The switch you describe seems to have been used instead of a relay.
The new fridge I.E Dometic may also have a D+ (Dynamo output) signal wire which connects to the engine alternator. This is used to prevent 12 volt operation if batteries are not being charged. You can use a VSR to achieve this requirement, but lets get ahead on unknowns.
