Default Best Sonar / GPS combo?

Hi all I need help picking out a new sonar and GPS combo. It will be on the center console of my 169 Ghost. I'm looking for a combo that will best scan the mangroves and shallow back waters of SWFLA. I also would like it to have pretty accurate gps to help make my way through the 10,000 islands. I know the main 4 big names and I have done some research but I would like your opinions for a 5" display that would fit my shallow salt water needs. Thanks so much.

For a 5" display I'd look at the following:

Simrad GO5 XSE (if you prefer all touch - has chirp, side, and downscan)
echoMAP CHIRP 55dv (if you prefer buttons - chirp and down)
Lowrance Elite Ti5 (mix of touch/buttons - chirp, side and down)

The Garmin Striker series looks promising, but very limited on the mapping...

I'd go with the Simrad, also has the Wifi built in if you wanted to mirror the screen on a larger tablet.

You should def go down to the local electronics store and play around with the units before you buy though...

Only problem with the Simrad is the transducer for the side scan cost 200-300 more dollars(per West Marine).

You can use HDI 2D and DownScan or TotalScan 2D and full StructureScan.

$649 with HDI and $749 with TotalScan at BOE Marine.

GO5 XSE with totalscan transducer would be a good unit around that price point.

HDI doesn't provide sidescan, only chirp and downscan. Totalscan has chirp, down and side.

With the GO5 will I be able to view sidescan, scanning sonar and traditional sonar? The guy at West Marine said I would need to purchase a separate transducer to get the side scan. He said the Go7 does it all on one transducer. Does that sound correct?
Does this model in the link do it all out of the box or do I need to add accessories?
