Default Sonar show Bottom Material ( mud, sand, shell ect )

I was told to turn up the sensitity and I would be able to find shell in galveston bay
by looking at the number of bands.
sonar shot #6 is on shell notice the 2nd band
sonar shot #8 is on mud notice only one band.
I have not done much more research on this but it seemed to reason.
I wanted to know what others are doing to find for example
shell pads for the many removed gas wells in our area waters.

Lets see your examples.

Tainted,
The echo in canyon idea really helped me. Looking at your sonar, and the sonar of the other
thread was confusing, those tails , hard for me to see it . I have lowrance equipment and its
very diffrent.

I do like the idea of having my screen split in two with side A zoomed and or sensitity up HIGH and side B as auto mode or not so sensitive. Gives two views of same terrain.

I will practice in the bay, next time out. Hopefully soon the gulf will quite down long enough to get out there.

Regards T
