Default fusion radio dumped bluetooth

I have a fusion RA205 that is roughly 2yrs old. I have no warranty as I'm the 2nd owner. Out of nowhere I lost the Bluetooth function. It's not even coming up on the unit. I've tried a hard reset of the unit, checked the Bluetooth adapter and still nothing. I called fusion tech support and they didn't seem surprised and told me a software update would not fix the issue. I had an IP600 before this and the ribbon cable broke on that. Is my radio F'ed? any recommendations for a replacement unit? For the price of these unit's I would expect a much better product.

Fusion makes a bluetooth adapter - only costs about 40. Can you just plug that in to regain bluetooth functionality?

I don't know if the adapter is causing the issue or there is a hardware fault in the radio. I can scroll, AM,FM,AUX, WB, but no BT. in the settings you can either select BT or Sirius. When I select BT it's not an option on the radio.

So it looks like its not receiving a signal from the bluetooth adapter. A quick (an less expensive) solution might be a new bluetooth adapter as I recommended before. Worse case is that's not the issue and you can ebay it. That is a lot cheaper than putting in a new radio.

If you don't care about the on screen display of your BT stream, then you could do the Fusion BT 100 adapter which gets connected through the RCA connections.

You verified the BT-200 adapter has power to it, correct?
