Default garmin 1020 XS plotter

Hi guys need some help please ive just bought a new boat and id like some advice ive got my eye on the new Garmin 1020Xs plotter / sounder along with a Airmar P79 shoot thru the hull transducer is this a good set up or should i go for a better Transducer the boat will be trailered and beach launched most of the time how good it the 140 Df Suzuki engine Any issues i should Know about tight lines Alain

If you don't need charts its great, it does not come with preloaded charts. The p79 is one of the last transducers I would recommend if you do any kind of fishing at all.

Thanks for you reply been to see the Garmin 1020Xs and while in the shop i was shown the new Raymarine Es98 which i also liked make your mind up time i would need charts for the whole of England & Ireland can you recommend a shoot through transducer for both units
