Default Connecting Suzuki 2016 DF250 to NMEA2K

we have 2x suzuki DF250hp outboards with the new DF gauges.
do we need any suzuki cables to interface into NMEA2K for 2x garmin 7412's

or are the DF guages "like the old gmi's" reading on the NMEA2K network already?

thanks! :D

Moose, the new colour gauges in Australia are not the same as the US ones. The US ones are a modified version of the Simrad IS35.

I am told the Aus ones are Suzuki's own design.

Assuming that both versions are NMEA2000 instruments, there should already be a N2K network in existance with the engine installed with the gauges, so it should just be a case of adding in 2 x extra T pieces to the network then drop cables to the Garmins.

I also gather that next year the Suzukis are going to do away with the interface cable and the engine displays will connect direct to the engine wiring harness behind the dash. We will then have to wait and see how to connect all that into a wider N2K network.
