Default Not running your gauge data through dual simrad system?

I'm about to take delivery on my pursuit OS325 and had a question for you guys.

The dual nss12 evo2 screens are now installed with 4G radar, B175H-30 ducer (and structure scan added in a month when the unit comes in) but the installer did not hook up the gauge data through either simrad display. He said I get better info from the Yamaha command link display and it would tax the system too much. He said that i'll get way better performance on the system overall if I don't hook up the gauges because it's so much data flowing constantly so he recommends not doing it if you have a Yamaha engine display.

what do you guys think?

Thanks for the help!

Hey Brian,
I've got not other guages other than the Yamaha screen. What else do you think should be used in its place that I don't have yet (or will have after structure scan)?
Thanks!
