Default Lowrance Elite 4

New to fishing - have Lowrance Elite 4

How trustworthy is the fish function - are those really fish it's showing?

What I see on the screen is that what's in FRONT of me?

what's the radius of the scan - how far away are those fish?

thnx

-Fish ID is not trustworthy. Turn it of and learn to interpret what the screen is telling you.
-No, not unless you are reversing. Your ducer (the part below water that sends the signals) is usually mountet on the transom, and what you see on your screen is therefore history, stuff you have passed over.
-That would depend on your ducer. The typical 83/200 has wide coverage at 44/20 degress coverage but will detect fish even further out then that.
