Default Heads up..Garmin ecoMAP CHIRP 94sv / 74sv units are NOW on the road.

Everyone has been asking when the new Garmin echoMAP CHIRP units will start arriving.;?

Well......some are now on the way ! .

A nice surprise late today...a load of echoMAP CHIRP 94sv , 74sv 54dv's showed up.

Garmin shipped out a good many of the different Garmin echoMAP CHIRP units last week....so all retailers will now have them to start arriving.

kmoose ( Ken ) will have his CHIRP 94sv unit tomorrow and will post a full review of it using both the GT51 and GT52HW transdcuers.
Plus he will post a review of the new QuickDraw feature the new echoMAP CHIRP units have preloaded.

http://www.thehulltruth.com/marine-e...ld-review.html
Here is Ken's review of the GT52HW for anyone who has not seen it.

The echoCHIRP still has the quick disconnect but one difference you will notice right away from last years echoMAP unit is the back.

The new echoMAP CHIRP...note the 12 pin port for the multifunction CHIRP transducers...and Network port is for the Panoptix only.

Non CHIRP echoMAP of last year..

Last years echoMAP non CHIRP back

It's the ethernet port only for the Panoptix or they can be networked as well?

Woo Hoo! Been waiting quietly for them to arrive! "Real World" testing is about to commence and I will be putting the new 94sv to the test in offshore and inshore waters.

Planning to get me a 94sv + GT51. What offshore depth will you be testing at? I'm interested to see how deep the GT51 will go with the 94sv in medium chirp. Look forward to your results.

I'm on the gulf coast so I won't be pushing it to the limits but if the weather cooperates I will try to get it out to 100' with the 51.

Once my (94SV and 51) arrive I will be more than happy to take some screen shots out in the Gulf for everyone.

It should not be long..these 94sv's have it preloaded so the download is not far behind.
