Duel E-Series on Center Console

Does anybody have duel E-Series on a center console boat? If so, how are they wired? How do you use the set-up. Two split screens? Are you able to transfer/move data between the two?

I have an E-120 and an E-80 networked together on my cc, but I'm not sure what you're asking. The two units will share preferences, waypoints, navionics charts, etc. The way I configure my screens depends on what I'm doing. For example, when navigating out of my inlet in peas soup, I'll have radar on the E-120 and my plotter on the E-80 with no FF. When I'm on the hook over a wreck on a blue bird day, I'll have the FF on my E-120 and plotter on my E-80. If it's not so clear out or darkening up in that situation, I'll split the E-80 with my plotter and radar. That's one of the great things about the networked units - it's so easy to tailor them to the situation.

I use one 120 for gps/radar. The other one has the fishfinder. I have a platinum card in the one that I use for gps. They were wired at Yellowfin

Reel Screamer,
I have pictures posted of my 27 Contender with an E120 and E80. They are shown in the pics on The Trading Dock. As the other poster said - you can do whatever you want with them to meet the requirements at the time.

Reel Screamer,
I have 2 E-80's side by side and let me tell you its a beautiful thing
All that required is an Sea Talk Hs and Ethernet cable with seperate power
They talk as (1) with one being a master the other a slave. The master can make the slave show any of the base functions. Chart/Plot, Radar, Fish Finder. Then you can add engine info through NMEA 0183 connetor and do overlay images.
Each one can store 1200 way points but 1 can be the master. Hint regardless of which screen has the way point do not save the routes randomly to each unit only save it to the master and then move it to a chip later to free up the memory but it will get lost on the two and you will not know which route is where because they are seperate units when it comes to routes.
1 great system,

Been playing around with the new duel E-120's and noticed the "Engine Data" application. What has to be done to make this active? I have 06 F-250's. Are they capable of sending this info to the E Series?

IIRC, Jim at BOE said the engines needed to be NMEA 2000 compatible to transmit to the dash. He'd be the one to check with.

Thanks Greg,
I have also sent a e-mail to Raymarine to find out which engine manufactures are currently supporting the NEMA 2000 protocol. I will post the response.

You will need a cable with a Raymarine NMEA 2000 connector on one end and the Yamaha plug on the other end. The yamaha end will plug into one of the spare hubs in the Yamaha NMEA 2000 wiring system. This is how I made it work with my ETECs last summer - I had to make my own cables at the time - got one from Evinrude and one from Raymarine - cut one end off of each and stripped down to the individual wires. Used a terminal strip to make the connections.
