Default Garmin Striker Series

Just noticed these on the Garmin Homepage. For what you get, the price sounds too good to be true.

Anyone know anything about these?

They look like amazing little units. All I can attribute the price to is competition. Sure are getting a lot for the money nowadays!

As to the pricing...

Keep in mind these will be fishfinders only . They do have GPS capability but are not chartplotter combos with built in maps.
That helps keep the pricing down.

One feature that is important is the quality transducers that will be included as a package..
For example:

The Striker 7s ships with the new GT52HW-TM.....High Wide CHIRP (150-240 kHz, 250 W) /CHIRP DownVü and CHIRP SideVü (455/800 kHz, 500 W )

Or you can use anyone of a very positive transducer selection with this unit.

Even the new in hull CHIRP GT15M-IH works with the Striker series......this will open up the options for those who want a shoot thru CHIRP.

The main difference is the GT23M does not have Side Vu::

The GT23M-Tm is Down Vu.....
The 8-pin transducer features mid-band CHIRP traditional sonar (80-160 kHz) and has a power rating of 600 W.
The CHIRP DownVü (260/455 kHz) element has a power rating of 500 W.

The GT51 is down Vu and Sidevu.

The CHIRP DownVü/SideVü elements have a power rating of 500 W per element (1,500 W total) and operating frequencies of 260/455 kHz.
The traditional CHIRP sonar has a power rating of 600 W and operating frequencies of mid-band CHIRP 80-160 kHz.
