Default garmin 3210 issue

Was getting ready to head out Friday morning for some wahoo action but my unit had no gps.

XM weather was working fine along with functions of the 3210.

Have redone the connections for the garmin gps17 that was installed this year new and still the main unit is not recognizing it.

I'm assuming that the gps17 has went bad?

Any ideas or anything else that I can check?

Line from antenna to power connection is clean.

If your power & ground wires on the GPS17 are good, plus the nmea in ,out & antenna turn on wire connections look good, then thats all it can be; a bad antenna. The good news is replacement antennas aren't too expensive.

Make sure the GPS source on the 3210 is set to Garmin and not NMEA on the GPS setup tab. Jim

Most likely is the GPS 17x antenna. All the wiring you have is red and black for +12 volt power, accessory power on and port 4 connections. Let us know how it works out with a new antenna. Jim

I had the same issue with my 3010c a couple of years ago. A new antenna fixed it up.

ordered the garmin 19x and hooked it up temporally and that was the problem.

Now have to mount antenna and pull the wire
