Default Someones Garmin 4212 fishing spots

So first off very happy with Garmins support. I have a 2008 4212 the SD card reader got water in it corroded and wouldn't read anymore. So I call Garmin knowing it is out of warranty just to get it fixed and the guy says just send it in and we will fix it no charge even though it is out of warranty which I thought was very nice. So I get the unit back install it on the boat I power it up to see all my gps spots gone (thank god I had them saved on my computer) so I zoom out and see 100 plus fishing spots on the west cost just to bad I never fish over there. Now the gps has my serial number on it so what did they do just load someone else hardware on my unit once they repaired it, anyone else ever have this happen?

In light of all of the Garmin product/CS bashing that seems to go on, it is refreshing for once to read about a positive Garmin CS experience.

Now save those west coast spots to an SD card and sell it.

You were likely swapped out with a re manufactured unit.
