Default Thinking of adding a third chartplotter to new console

In the process of getting the equipment and ideas together to revamp my console. And have the idea of using a third small 7" plotter as my gauges.

Has anyone done this or is the idea actually better then real life?

Below is my console now.

This is what I want to do.
Replace the two 4208's with two Garmin 10" screens on the top which will leave me approx 6-8" in between if I spread them apart as far as I can go.
Replace radio w/ Fusion mounted in the console
Icom-504 Mounted in the console or electronics box
Have a new switch panel made and moved to the knee's
Move Garmin A/P control & I-command Gauges
I have a smalled wheel going on too

I have a third display in the overhead box. I think it was the previous owner's intent to use it for satellite radio and weather/sst reports. At least it works well in that role for me.

Putting the gauge readouts on a plotter display would not be a priority for me, but a third display is nice. Less flipping back and forth between modes.

Another option is adding a GMI-20 for the engine data displays, much smaller unit and matches the autopilot control head.

I was actually thinking about a 741sx under the two 10" around where the Icommand gauges are now

If you want to view engine data, etc. then would go this way before adding a third unit like the 741sx. Not sure what you would need that for with two 10' MFDs.

Something that displays engine data front and center that can be turned off / hidden with engines off would be nice. Especially if it gave more screen size in same space.

The Navico iPad app is great for mapping / bottom contours. I was going to get a second MFD in order to keep the map up all of the time, but elected to go with the mini. With a wireless hub (the GoFree or similar) it's a pretty slick unit.

Price just adding 2 -12" instead of 2 - 10" and 1 - 8". The two twelves are gonna give you more screen real estate than the three you mentioned combined. Has to be cheaper too..

I run 3, 2-8" hds8, 1 hummingbird 989 side scan. And sometimes a 10" lcx113. I like having each telling me something different on a full screen
