Which amp with a pair of JL M880's?

Hello,
My Memphis marine 8's have destroyed cones on a 22' Pursuit CC. I'd like to upgrade these speakers to JL M880's.
Will a JL M400/4 suffice wired 200w RMS @ 4 ohms x2?
I don't think my current amp will work with these upgraded speakers (Memphis 16-SR2.150 50w RMS @ 4 ohms x2).
Thanks,
Jonathan

In addition to the proposed setup (2xM880's and M400/4 amp), instead of tossing current amp, can I keep the Memphis amp 16-SR2.150 and add a single subwoofer in mono configuration?
If possible, what would be the best JL subwoofer paired with the Memphis amp? Memphis 2 channel amp bridged for sub would be 150w RMS power x 1 @ 4 ohms. Which would work best - JL M10 250w @ 4 ohm or JL M10 175w @ 4 ohm? Would the M10 under perform with Memphis amp?
I can always remove the Memphis amp if it's not worth the headache adding a sub with M880's.
Thanks again!

You might try Odin with Earmark Marine. Odin has a simple price matching policy and is an authorized JL Audio on-line dealer. So you get a JL Audio factory warranty, full technical support, and someone who really knows the audio category.
I'm not aware of another THT sponsor that is a JL Audio authorized on-line dealer.

They should be a HUGE upgrade from current Memphis Marine 8's.....more than double power output. Very disappointing to see the Memphis speaker's cones degrade so rapidly. I hope these JL's are more salt and UV resistant.

Power doesn't kill speakers, distortion does. I used an M400/4 for M770 pair and they worked great. Just don't drive them to the point of distortion and you will be fine.
