Default Garmin 4208 antennae question

Will the 4208 use the N2K network for its antennae input? I already have a 526s on the backbone or must it have a separate antennae?

If I also add a 441 to the network to read fuel from two GFS 10 sensors must one of the chartplotters (526 or 441) have their GPS output signals shut?

Thanks

The 4208 will see the different antennas on the network. I have a 4208 and I have a Garmin GPS17x and a Lowrance LGC-2000 on the network. Not only can you tell it which one to use you can set it to auto and it will select whichever one is providing the more accurate signal.

If you have an engine interface connected to the network you will get all the engine info and fuel numbers without having to install a GFS-10 or a 441. I have twin Suzukis both with engine interfaces. They will give me burn rate, fuel remaining, fuel range and mpg on the bottom of the 4208 when in chart mode. The 4208 will not update nor assign to the engine interface, I have a 4" SMIS to assign the boat setup criteria.

Hope this helps
