Default Garmin compatibility with old Airmar Txducer

Is the new Garmin 76xx series compatible with an older style Airmar (Ray) B260 that pre-dates the XID wire? This one has a unique 7-pin plug that fits into a DSM250. The standard Garmin 6-8 pin adapter instructions don't seem to apply but I haven't yet cut the ducer cable to see what's there. Will not having an XID txducer send the Garmin into some kind of infinite do-loop or will it still work reliably in dual-frequency 50/200 kHz mode?

I just went thru this with a M260. Airmar can walk you thru the steps to make it work, but was told it makes it into a 600kw transducer.
