Default thru-hull transducer on aluminum boat

I'm have a difficult time pulling the trigger as I don't necessary like the idea of cutting a hole in the bottom of the boat. I know it is quite common for you fiberglass guys, but you can always glass over the hole later. It's another story altogether with an aluminum boat. Any thoughts?Anyone install one? What do you do when you get rid of the boat?

You can always have the hole welded closed if you want to remove the thru-hull for any reason- not usually a big problem.
