Fusion wired remote--"waiting for network"

The wired remote for my fusion head unit isn't functioning. The screen says "wainting for network". All the connections are good, and I've cycled it on and off many times trying to reset it. The headunit works fine, but it's in my console so the remote is essential. Is there anything to check before I replace it?

Mine is giving me a fit also. Bout took a shotgun to it this past weekend. I can't even get the head unit menu to come up so that I can Bluetooth connect to my phone. I'm frustrated.

Has anyone figured out what is causing this issue?
The same thing happened to me. Multiple troubleshooting calls to Fusion tech support, new cables and t-connectors, and a software update didn't work. So I had to ship my stereo and remote back to them. Of course, they couldn't replicate the issue at their shop. They sent it back to me but I haven't hooked it back up. Not very satisfying.

Weird. Same thing happened to me while tinkering with my boat yesterday. It was working fine, randomly stopped playing and shut its self down. Tried turing it back on with the remote, got the "waiting for network." I could turn the remote on and off but my head unit was stuck on the "Fusion 700" screen and couldn't turn on/off.
Possibly an update issue?

Crazy. I was fishing a tournament on May 16 and after working almost all day my remote shut off and every time I power it on it says waiting on network. I checked all the connections and they were good but I haven't gone any farther.

I hooked mine up after getting it back from Fusion and so far it seems to be working fine. As I mentioned in an earlier post, they weren't able to replicate the "waiting for network" issue, but did say that they refreshed the software (which was old). Fingers crossed.

I called fusion and they said it was from cutting the power off at the batteries before powering the stereo down. Unplug power to the black box and wait 45sec then plug back in and power up. It worked for me.
