Default Lowrance 3g pre-purchase ?'s

After doing some research I think i have come to the conclusion that the Lowrance 3g radar is the most suitable for my needs. From what i understand the Lowrance version does not come with the RI10 interface which is ONLY for MARPA. At this time, i dont need marpa and can alway add the RI10 later. Also, the Lowrance model comes with a 10m cable which is about 30',more than enough for my 30' boat. I currently have an AP24 AP with a RC42 heading sensor so i should be able to do overlay... correct?

Does this all seem correct or am i missing something.. my needs are for short range radar and overlay.. I have found a lowrance 3g online for $1136 free shipping is that about the best i will do?

Yes, everything is correct. You don't need RI10 unless you are going to use MARPA and RC42 will give heading for radar overlay. Lowrance comes with 10m cable, Simrad with 20m.
