Default Chirp transducers for smaller boats.

I have a 27' gen one Ameracat. Right now I have Navico Sonar Hub and B-60 transducer. I do a lot of freshwater fishing in the 15-60 foot range and in saltwater I fish from the beach out to 1200 foot. I would like to see targets on the bottom in 600-1200 but not sure if that is a doable deal with sonar hub and small boat transducers. The B-175 would be a tough install on my boat with the radius on the bottom of my hull but it could be done or I was thinking maybe 2 B-75s might be better. From the specs I see on these transducers it looks to me like they all just have too wide of cone angle on the lower frequencies to pick out any targets. Anyone using B-75 or B-175 in deep 600' to 1200' ?

Chirp on paper would seem to provide good results. It remains difficult to get posted pics of chirp in deep water. Thats water beyond the depths you mention. Are you bottom fishing at the 1200ft depth or fishing water column in that type of depth?

Yes like my post said I want to see targets on the bottom in 600'-1200' I know my B-60 is not even close. Looks like the 265 is the least transducer that might work but its physically too big in the thru hull and transom mount configuration for my boat.

If you decide on a shoot through (M265LH), I know where there is a used one. Those Americats are awesome boats.

I've got a 2-3kw Chirp shoot through in my bilge, mated to the gsd26 and garmin 6012. I mounted it just off center in the bilge (just on the inside of the keel of the sponson) and it reads perfectly on plane at any speed. I havent been deeper than 350' with it yet.
