Default garmin 4210

Hello I was looking at the garmin 4210 for my boat. Don't know anybody with one and would like to know if it is a good unit or should I be looking at others? Being a little bit older now need a larger screen. Currently have a smaller furuno unit.

Great proven unit if all you need is an MFD. Bury if your building a system then you can get a lot more for you money with units that have more built in capabilities than the older 7xxx thru 4xxx model units. The only negative is that their discontinued by Garmin.

I have a 4212 and 6212, I like them without touch screen nonsense. They get the job done. As mentioned they are discontinued but are still compatible with most of the newer products, though some features won't be available (dual range on radar for example).

I'm thinking of swapping out the 4212 for a 7612. PM me if you want a good unit that has been in a pilot house it's entire life (no water exposure).
