Default NSS EVO2 transducer pairing question

Man, I think I've read every post out there and looked at every available screenshot for the various transducers. Many thanks to Stiletto, Abbor and others for making helping make sense of this new technology.
I believe I have narrowed my choices down between the M265LH or the B175W. I am typically in waters 50' to 400' while fishing. I want to see not only fish, but, search for bottom structure. If I'm in 250' of water and run across a 6' high piece of structure, I want to see it fairly easily. From what I gather, the M265 is going to give me a better chance of seeing this structure, but a smaller footprint on the bottom due to the cone angle on high chirp. The 175W will do the better job of showing the fish, and the wider bottom footprint with the constant 25 degree cone angle, but, probably will not do as good picking up structure in the 200' to 400' range. Am I correct so far?
I don't have to have the absolute best picture of each fish down there, just a showing will be fine for me, so, based on that, I'm leaning towards the M265LH unless I hear of better options or a better argument for the 175W. Also, occasionally I will be in deeper waters from 400' to 700'.
The shoot thru will also be a little easier to mount vs. the 175W and if I decide I have to have the water temp, I can get a pigtail and set it up.
I would appreciate any informed opinions. thanks

How many units are you running? I still tnink that for what your doing and where you spending tbe majority of your time to go with the B175hw

I have TM265LH + B175H-W, this would be the optimum setup also for you. With only one transducer I would go B175M, M265LM is also an alternative, but I would prefer a transducer with the acoustic window in direct contact with the water (B175 style)

I understand and agree about the shoot thru vs. the thru hull mounting.

In my previous boat I used the M260 and liked the results. Using the B175M should be a step up from that regarding painting the bottom as well as marking fish, correct?
